Anchor House is located in Mattancherry’s Bazaar Street, just off water front, on the Cochin harbour. It is a 100-year-old guest house that stands on one of the best locations in town.Mattancherry has been a crucial part of Kerala’s flourishing trade for many centuries. There are old shops, shacks and warehouses lining the streets of Mattancherry. Walk down the narrow roads leading to the spice shops, or visit the heritage structures like the Cutchi Hanafi Mosque and numerous old churches in nearby Fort Cochin. Jew Street is known for the Pardesi Synagogue, tucked away towards the end of the street. There are many handicraft and antique shops leading up to it.
In the lobby of the Anchor House hangs a grandfather clock, a mute witness to the passage of a century. This luxurious hotel offers super deluxe and suite rooms.
