Riverside Heritage Homestay

River Side Heritage Homestay is approved and licensed as GOLD grade by Tourism Department, Government of Kerala. The homestay’s owners are Mr. Basil Mylanthra, 60, a retired senior marketing executive of an MNC and Annie Basil, 56, house wife and an expert in Kerala-style cooking. It is a 75-year-old, well maintained bungalow built of bricks, wooden ceilings , and roofing and the flooring is done with old clay tiles. It stands in an area of 1.25 acres of land. We have our own Chinese Fishing Nets that guests can operate. Tourists can look at how shrimp farming is done in paddy fields.

The place is located on the Perumpadappu backwaters and is surrounded by evergreen mangroves. We can arrange mechanised country boats for backwater boating for our guests. Houseboats tours to and from Alleppey backwaters can be arranged on advance requests from the guests (day cruise as well as day and night stay). The tariffs vary according to the season and advance booking days.

Great place, heritage house, we stayed here 4 days for 1200rs / day, good food. village life and frequent bus to fort cochin, Jew town etc. we enjoyed staying here and best homestay in cochin.
